Subscription Terms & End User License Agreement

1. Subscription Overview

Synapse STEM Education offers age-appropriate subscription tracks: Little Techs (ages 5–8, micro:bit hardware), DigiKids (ages 9–11, Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino), and Cadets (ages 12–15, advanced systems). Each subscription is per child and includes a hardware starter kit shipped to your door.

2. Pricing & Billing

• Each subscription covers one child. Families enrolling multiple children must purchase a separate subscription for each child.
• Beginning with month 2, your card on file will be charged on the same calendar day as your original purchase.
• All prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

3. Child Account Setup

• Each DLK starter kit includes a unique child login code printed inside the box.
• A parent or authorized guardian must complete the initial account-linking process through the Synapse DLK mobile app.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and your child's login code.

4. Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting support@synapsestemed.com or through your account dashboard.
• Cancellation must be submitted at least 10 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.
• Access to lessons, Sam AI, and the DLK Portal continues through the end of the current paid period. No partial-month refunds.
• Hardware starter kits are non-returnable after the kit has been opened and the child login code has been activated.

5. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If unsatisfied within the first 30 days of your order date, contact us and we will work with you to make it right — including a full kit refund if the hardware is returned in unused, unopened condition.

6. Shipping

• Starter kits are shipped within 2–3 business days of purchase.
• Synapse STEM Education ships within the contiguous United States. Contact us for international inquiries.

7. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your full payment card number is never stored on Synapse STEM Education servers.

17. Discounts

Founding Family Discount

The first 25 families to subscribe receive a permanent 10% discount on their monthly DLK subscription for as long as their subscription remains active.

• The discount applies to the recurring monthly charge only.
• Non-transferable and tied to the original family account.
• If the subscription lapses and is reactivated, the founding discount is forfeited.

Military Family Discount

Families of active duty U.S. military personnel receive a 10% discount on their monthly DLK subscription.

• Proof of active duty status must be submitted via the mobile app or by emailing support@synapsestemed.com.
• If military status changes, the account holder is responsible for notifying Synapse STEM Education.

General Discount Terms

• Discounts cannot be combined. Only one discount type may apply per subscription.
• Discounts apply to the monthly subscription fee only; the one-time kit price is not discounted.

18. Founding Family Status

Founding Family status confers, in addition to the pricing discount:

• Priority access — early access to new tracks, hardware kits, and platform features.
• Exclusive Founders Badge — a permanent Founders Badge on the child's DLK profile.
• Priority support queue — priority response times for support requests.
